Driving along a coastal road, you come upon a scene that aptly captures the old saying "know your limits." Parked at the brink of a boat ramp is a high-end luxury sports vehicle, its elegant lines and strong engine evidence of automotive engineering. Still, its present circumstances are hardly glitzy. The car is half- buried in water; its front end dips into the waves and its rear wheels spin uselessly on the slick ramp. Not far by, a little fishing boat bobbs softly in the sea, apparently parodying the car's situation. Still sporting a fine suit, the owner of the car stood knee-deep in water, their expression one of incredulity. A little gathering of people has assembled; some are trying to disguise their laughter while others offer advise. This scene reminds us humbly that constraints exist even in the most amazing vehicle. In the conflict between land and sea, the boat—in its natural form—very obviously wins. Watching a tow truck come to save the wet luxury car teaches observers the value of utilizing the correct tool for the task, and maybe in the foolishness of exaggerating one's capabilities - or those of one's vehicle.
