The Australian Shepherd is another breed that needs a lot of exercise. Bred as guard dogs and disaster relief dogs, these puppies need daily walks and runs or have the capacity to develop behavioral problems. With young children to care for, this breed's needs may be too much for parents with multiple children to chase after. Australian Shepherds are also often uncomfortable when meeting new people, and with playdates a weekly ordeal, this may not be ideal.
